During my 25+ years of experience in the public and private sectors, I've always been drawn to mentoring and helping others identify what is next for them. From 2023-2025, as a chief for Talent Development at a Federal agency, we built an internal coaching team for our supervisors and employees. During this time, I completed my ICF training at the University of Pennsylvania and had many opportunities to experience coaching first hand during practice sessions. Each session helped me sort through what I wanted and how I wanted to get there, whether it was how I wanted to approach a certain conversation to how I wanted to approach broader topics in my life.
In 2025, I accepted a reassignment as a director with duties related to finance, performance management, strategic communications, facilities management, Human Resources, and working with external stakeholders. It is a great role that builds on my diverse experience across my career. (Given this ongoing role, I am not able to work with Federal employee clients.)
I missed getting to pursue the coaching role, and started HRS Associates, LLC in March of 2025 to help clients work through complex decisions related to what they want to do next and how they want to get there. Maybe it sounds simple, but these decisions and forward movement are typically complex. Talking to friends, family and others in your networks can be helpful, but often others have an agenda for what they want for you. For example, a spouse might have reservations about a new career plan due to financial concerns or the time involved. The coaching methodology is unique because I am helping you get to your answers and decisions, without an opinion.
Some of my top strengths are individualization, learner, input, maximizer and analytical, so I'm loving this latest experience in applying the ICF model for coaching. I have a BS in Foreign Service and a Masters in Policy Management, both from Georgetown University.
